The LED bulb is situated inside the base of the candle. It shines up to make the flame realistically glow and flicker. A warm, soft glow shines through the outer wax shell, illuminating the beautiful image, and giving as much ambient light as a traditional burning candle.
The base of the candle houses an easy-to-open compartment for 2 AAA batteries, as well as the On/Off/Timer switch.
